A beloved Central Oregon bakery is expanding beyond its original Old Mill location. M’s Bakery is opening a second location in the Cascade Village Shopping Center, set to open in January, owner Macy Davis told the Source. The bakery location will be adjacent to World Market, in the former Starbucks location, and will be grab-and-go style, featuring a toast bar, parfaits, oatmeal and its other bakery items, but without the full breakfast and lunch menu offered at the original location.

M’s also plans to roast coffee in-house, from beans sourced through co-owner Dario Muciño-Trujillo’s connections with family farms in Veracruz, Mexico.

“We’re really excited to serve the north part of Bend, especially as that area and Redmond are rapidly growing,” Davis told the Source. “We have so many customers that come from that side of town, that come all the way down to the Old Mill just to get a pastry or coffee or something. So it really felt like the north side of town needed some love, and we wanted to just provide a space for the community to gather.” People can keep up with updates about the opening of the new location at M’s Bakery’s Instagram at @msbakerybend/
