It’s official. Deschutes Brewery is ready to launch its first major expansion in more than a decade, adding two new buildings and five fermentation tanks that will boost Bend’s flagship brewery by 105,000 barrels per year. The move further solidifies Deschutes position as the premier brewery in Central Oregon and ensures that Deschutes beers will be brewed right here in Bend for the foreseeable future. In addition to the increased capacity, the expansion will allow the brewery optimize its water and energy consumption while touching up the tasting room and gift shop. Construction on the first phase of expansion is projected to begin in mid-May and conclude sometime next year.
