As we settle into the warm weather, the 8,000-seat outdoor Hayden Homes Amphitheater next to the Deschutes River has a busy season scheduled with big names from multi-platinum American rock bands like the Goo Goo Dolls to younger arena-filling comedians like Matt Rife and a final display from the creative duo Empire of the Sun.
Toward the beginning of summer, alternative and indie rock band Lord Huron will be here on June 4. Its tours often include legendary venues like the Red Rocks Amphitheater and this year it leads them to Bend where they’ll perform for their biggest fans.
Meanwhile, July will bring a host of heavy-hitting American rock bands with years of experience. Widespread Panic, running 30 years strong, will perform two consecutive nights of tracks from across its extensive list of albums on July 10 and 11. And these nights of music will continue with an unofficial afterparty at the Domino Room after the second night, featuring Jim Bone and The Dig. Jimmy Eat World will bring its 25th Anniversary Bleed American Tour to the amphitheater on July 17, alongside special guests Motion City Soundtrack and Illuminati Hotties. Another powerhouse of alternative rock, the Goo Goo Dolls, also with guest stars Neon Trees, will take over Hayden Homes on July 26.

As always, Hayden Homes Amphitheater is not just sticking to musical acts, as August will bring comedians alongside a range of additional concerts. Earlier in the month, Sarah McLachlan will perform her soulful signatures on the 7th, with a special feature from Allison Russell. Look forward to a night of fresh and witty humor on Aug. 27, presented by Matt Rife. The young comedian who has grown rapidly as a social media sensation, even performing his own Netflix Special, is visiting Bend on his Stay Golden 18+ World Tour. Following the comedy on the following evening, American pop band Train will perform its timeless hits, with help from Barenaked Ladies and Matt Nathanson as special guests.
Later in the season, on Sept. 6, Weird Al Yankovic will bring his “Bigger and Weirder” tour to Bend. On Sept. 13, Hayden Homes will see another big comedian. Nikki Glaser will display her brutally honest comedy from The Stunning Tour. On Sept. 20, Bleachers will give its devoted followers a special night with special guest The Linda Lindas.
To end a star-studded season at the amphitheater, on Oct. 3, Empire of the Sun will captivate the crowds with its electronic pop-fusion style. This stop on their North American tour will include many fan favorites and performances from special guests Polo & Pan and Midnight Generation.
For one of the larger performance venues in Oregon, there are plenty of options to enjoy the summer outdoors and get your fix of the electric, live concert-going experience.
