The Vaselines
After many years without touring, the band is looking forward to a triumphant return. The Vaselines are punks at heartโ the Glasgow garage-pop duo writes simple, earnest songs about love and love gone wrong that are brimming with energy and honesty. Bask in the glow of original members Eugene Kelly and Frances McKeeโs contagious chemistry and poignant lyricism. 8 pm. Doug Fir. $18-$20. (JB)

Andy Stott
In 2015, electronic music brings to mind fist-pumping bros, MacBook Pros and minors in neon tanktops rolling on something that they overpaid for. It doesnโt have to be this way. Andy Stott is here for people who want to get weird to some blissed-out bleep bloops without having to deal with other peopleโs children. Stott is the Quiet Storm to EDMโs Top 40 bleating and you can expect the crowd to reflect that. Let his chilled-out and toned-down dub sounds wash over you and just… relax. 9 pm. Neumos. $15. (AG)

Kishi Bashi String Quartet, Elizabeth & The Catapult
You might not know Kishi Bashi by name, but youโve certainly heard his music. The violinistโs past work includes stints with Summer of Love-aping Elephant 6, weirdos Of Montreal and college radio darling Regina Spektor. His new solo project is a dizzying array of vocal and violin loops. Picture Imogen Heap let loose in an opera house and youโre halfway there. As for E&TC, you might know them from their excellent 2009 album, Taller Children. Theyโve released several solid albums of lush, orchestral pop and are a band not to be missed. 7 pm. Neptune Theatre. $25. (JB)
