(BEND, Oregon) โ€“ Beach Hut Deli, a California based deli franchise, announced today the opening ย of their first store in Oregon located at 852 NW Brooks Street, in the Plaza โ€“ Downtown Bend (across from Crowโ€™s Feet Commons). The restaurant will be open daily for breakfast sandwiches, amazing lunch salads and sandwiches, all in a fun and family friendly environment that features music, large screen TVs, and serving craft beers and wine.

Owner Rich Taylor, a Bend local since 1996, is opening the Bend restaurant with the goal and vision of continuing the tradition of Beach Hut Deli founder Troy Feist, who started the surfer-themed franchise over 35 years ago.

In 1981, Troy Feist set out to create a food service concept that his family and friends would enjoy. Troyโ€™s vision was to develop a restaurant around a beach resort culture. He wanted to serve food that he was proud of, with craft brews on draft while listening to music he loved.

Today, Beach Hut Deli has a strong fan following and is known for their awesome sandwiches and unique salads served in an environment unlike any other on the West Coast. On tap will be a large variety of local craft brews, ciders, and wine.

People come from all around to try Troyโ€™s unique sandwich creations using the freshest produce and flavor combinations that can only be found at Beach Hut Deli. These creations include sandwiches like the hot melted Shark Bite: sweet honey ham, BBQ sauce, Tabasco, Swiss cheese all melted to perfection and then topped with smoked bacon, red onions, crisp lettuce and of course, cream cheese; served on our proprietary toasted garlic cheese sourdough bread โ€“ just to name a few.ย
