Wayne Kinney, a Democratic convention superdelegate who lives in Bend, announced today that he’s supporting Barack Obama for the party’s presidential nomination.
As reported on the BlueOregon blog, Kinney said in a prepared statement:
“Senator Obama wasn’t supposed to be able to get this far. One member of Congress from Illinois said that for Sen. Obama to win the nomination, he’d have to be perfect. He’s been pretty damned good. The fact that this nomination is still inches from being decided is a testament to the abilities of both Sen. Obama and Sen. [Hillary] Clinton.
“While there are a few primaries left to go, it’s now over for Oregon. Sen. Obama won our state by almost 18 points. He is very close to winning a majority of the delegates he needs to be our nominee for President.
“But there should be more to my decision than that. After all, we automatic, ‘super’ delegates are not automatons. We are not here to ratify. We’re expected to use our judgment. Here’s mine: After watching Sen. Obama for more than a year, it’s clear that he offers an ability to lead and inspire that’s been sorely lacking in this country.
“Senator Obama will win our nomination, and will be our President. It felt good to write that sentence.”
Kinney, who is a Democratic national committeeman for Oregon and runs a field office for Sen. Ron Wyden, became the sixth of Oregon’s 12 superdelegates to announce for Obama. Two others have come out in support of Clinton. As of today, Obama’s website is claiming he has 1,980 delegates and is 46 away from clinching the nomination.

This just in: Another Oregon superdelegate, Gail Rasmussen of Canby, announced this morning that she’s supporting Obama. She is an at-large member of the Democratic National Committee.
“Hand-made terrorist?” Is that like a terrorist made out of Playdough?
Our country’s CURRENT president is our own hand made terrorist, far from what we need(ed) as a leader.

That any cognizant person would consider voting for a black radical elitist gasbag ignoramus to be President is utterly astounding. Why not just drive way out into the desert, find a run down Texaco, and vote for the pecker-wood sweeping the lot there? I know, compared to Obama, he would be overqualified, but the concept has some merit.

Humongous Bowel Movement: To differentiate between a black racist and a white racist is not bigoted, it’s merely accurate. Obama belongs to a black church, embraces black radical ideology with both his white and black friends. Obama refers to himself as a black, even though he is half white. It would be inaccurate and disingenuous of me to refer to him as a white racist, wouldn’t it? Hillary’s overwhelming success in states that have a white middle class majority point to the fact that there is a disconnect between Obama and this group. These are the folks that don’t like Rev. Wright and this priest Pfleger that Obama calls “his compass.” Dhorn and Ayers, terrorists of the Weather Underground, are the circle Obama travels in. $200,000 of taxpayers money, earmarked by Sen. Obama, went to his “compass” Pfleger, the radical asshole priest. Obama’s elitist wife states she has never been proud of being an American as an adult. That sounds like a great first lady doesn’t it?
What imbeciles like Miller don’t get, is that their radical views are not shared by moderates of both parties. It is the moderates in the center who will swing this election to McCain. Those clinging to thier “guns and religon” are not voting for the radical Harvard educated elitist who favors a black racist philosophy.

That’s 70% who want us to either get out immediately or set a timetable for getting out vs. only 28% who want us to stay indefinitely (the McCain position).
