Keeping with our transportation theme this week, hereโ€™s some interesting information just released from WalletHub, concerning which states are best, and which are worst to drive in.

For starters, Oregon ranks the sixth-best state overall to drive in. Our neighbors north and south, well theyโ€™re near the bottom of the barrel. In fact, only Hawaii ranked worse than the Evergreen state. Texas, Kansas and Nebraska rounded out the top three.

While Oregon was the best state for lowest auto maintenance costs, the state was voted 46th, or fifth-worst, in highest gas prices. Hawaii and California were the two most expensive.

The study used four categories: cost of ownership; traffic and infrastructure; safety and access to vehicles and maintenance to rank each state.
