For Tijuana Panthers‘ second full-length album, the band decided to work with Oregon-based producer Richard Swift (yeah, the guy from The Shins). What results is a rougher sounding offering than the band’s 2013 Semi-Sweet. The forthcoming Wayne Interest finds the L.A. band picking up the pace for the track above, “Cherry Street,” and dealing with vocal harmonies in a dramatically different way.

It’s an unexpected and appreciated development.
