What results is a rougher sounding offering than the band’s 2013 Semi-Sweet. The forthcoming Wayne Interest finds the L.A. band picking up the pace for the track above, “Cherry Street,” and dealing with vocal harmonies in a dramatically different way.

It’s an unexpected and appreciated development.
