At last weekend’s North American Beer Awards Bend’s brewing contingent made a strong showing with four of our breweries taking home medals from the annual competition that featured more than 1,000 entries.
Deschutes Brewery took home a total of four medals, including a gold medal for its Dissident which took top honors in the Flanders Brown Ale category.
Cascade Lakes Brewing won a gold for their Paulina Pilsner in the German Pilsner category and a silver for their Monkey Face Porter in the Robust Porter division.
Bend Brewing Company made an impressive showing, too. They won three medals at the competition, including a silver in the Belgian Dark Strong Ale for their limited edition Wicked Medicine.
Also winning a medal was Silver Moon Brewing, which made an impressive showing with a silver medal for its Bridge Creek Pilsner, beating out none other than Samuel Adams’ Noble Pilsner.
