Central Oregon Community College is looking for community feedback during its search for a new president.
COCC is holding a series of public forums Oct. 1 and 2 at multiple locations across its district to get a cross-sectional view on the ideal candidate, according to a press release from Mark Johnson, COCCโs staff writer of college relations.
โThe college is holding these meetings to gather input on what the campuses and the community are looking for in a new president,โ Ron Paradis, COCCโs executive director of college relations said in the release.
Former Portland Community College president Preston Pulliams, now president of Gold Hill Associatesโa Mississippi-based recruiting firm that specializes in hiring executives for community collegesโis guiding the search process and will lead the forums, according to Johnson.
On Sept. 5, current president Dr. Shirley Metcalf announced she would retire at the end of the 2018-2019 school year.
