Skatepark controversy notwithstanding, the Miller’s Landing project is moving ahead apace and the Bend Park District wants to hear what you’d like to see at the new riverfront park.
The district is holding a community meeting to solicit input on park design next Thursday, Oct. 13 from 5-7:3 pm at the district offices, 799 Columbia (right across the river from the Old Mill).
For additional info, contact Robin Laughlin at the park district, 541-706-6155.
Meantime, check out this city of Bend video about the recent Earth Day celebration at Miller’s Landing.

I really hope they put in a skate park. Our kids need another one. Wo only have one skate park in this town and it is in a not so good neighborhood and set back off the road, that is scary for some parents to let there kids go to. We have how many dog off leash parks and one skate park. It is time to give to the kids and provide them with what they need and deserve.
Lets PLEASE encourage our kids to do healthy activities outdoors … such as the skate park. It would be a great location that would be easy to access from kids all over Bend. Lets see it happen!
