With music festival offerings exploding across the country, live music is bigger than ever. In Bend, even small non-venues like supply depots are getting in the game by hosting concerts.

With summer largely considered to be the apex of the live music season, this Friday Mixtape aims to get listeners in the mood for shows by providing 20 hand-picked quality live recordings from classic artists—like Johnny Cash— and today’s pop sensations like Lorde.

Performances range from intimate, in-studio sets by melancholy folk band Daughter to iconic rock concerts by Bruce Springsteen and everything in between. Even a track from Nirvana’s lauded MTV Unplugged appearance made it into the playlist. Imagine being in the audience for that show!
