Locals will have a place to roam and rock out as the second-annual Discovery West PorchFest returns to the Northwest Bend neighborhood on Saturday, Sept. 12. The afternoon includes live music and food and drinks from Central Oregon vendors.

From 4-9pm, six live acts will entertain across three stages at the roving neighborhood music festival. People can explore the neighborhood, touring through open homes and check out Discovery Corner, which is the neighborhoodโs community gathering place, along with retail shops, art installations and nearly 40 acres of parks, trails and open space.
The variety of musical acts include Erin Cole Baker from 4-5:30pm and School of Rock students from 5:45-7pm at Discovery Corner. The Rusty Frets play the Kenyon Place Stage from 4-4:45pm followed by the Wild Hare Band from 5-5:45pm. On the Nine Neighborhood Stage, Pete Kartsounes and Alicia Viani perform from 6-7 pm. Jenny Donโt and The Spurs close out the music fest on the Discovery Corner Main Stage from 7:30-9pm. The Portland band tours extensively at home and abroad, and is known for its alt-country, energetic sound.
โWe loved seeing people walking from stage to stage last year, discovering new artists and enjoying the neighborhood in a completely different way,โ said Valerie Yost, director of marketing for Discovery West. โHaving Jenny Donโt and the Spurs close out this yearโs event at Discovery Corner is going to make for a fantastic finale.โ
