OK, so did anyone else spend most of the 1990s listening to, obsessing over, and eventually learning to play the entirety of the Nirvana catalog? I did.

There were a few years in the mid 1990s when it was rare for me to be listening to music that wasn’t in some way connected to Nirvana. I even played in a Nirvana cover band. And yes, we sucked.

But tonight, I plan on reliving my Nirvana-obsessed days by heading down to the Tart Bistro/St. Clair Building lobby during First Friday. This is part of the continuing Night Under the Covers series that brings a bunch of local musicians in to play the songs of one particular artist.

Here’s a rundown of tonight’s schedule:

5:00-6:00 Chris Beland
6:00-6:15 Syndra Schmidt
6:15-6:30ย  The Two of Us
6:30-6:45ย  Lauren Kershner
6:45-7:00ย  Cognitive Riot
7:00-7:30ย  Subliminal
7:30-8:00ย  The Mowbray Collective
8:00-8:15ย  Dylan Alm
8:15-8:45ย  Sons of Dirt
8:45-9:00 Panoramic Television
