College football season is still a few weeks away, but there was some good news for the Oregon Ducks squad today when the USA Today preseason rankings were released.

Oregon is ranked #3 in a pre-season poll that has Oklahoma as the top-ranked team and places fellow Pac-12 (that feels weird to type) rival Stanford at #6.

But just below the Ducks at #4 is LSU. This is a little crazy, considering the two teams will face off on Saturday, September 3 for the opening game for both teams.

Suddenly, wrapping up summer doesn’t sound so bad, does it?
