Picakthon, Portland’s increasingly popular outdoor roots and indie rock festival, announced its lineup this morning and the collection of acts set to play between August 5 to 7 looks as strong as any of the event previous offerings.

And that’s saying something, judging from the quality of last year’s festival.

Pickathon is headlined by soul legend Mavis Staples, indie folker Bill Callahan and a plenty of other solid acts, including Vetiver, Laura Veirs and Danny Barnes.

We’ll keep you up to speed on any other lineup additions and will likely also be giving away some tickets later this summer, so stay tuned!
