In yet another sign of spring, everyone’s favorite Airstream cuisine returns this week and in a new more visible location after a winter hiatus.
The Spork Team, headed by Chris Lohrey and Erica Reily, announced this week that their restaurant on wheels is moving to Galveston where it will be perched across the street from another local favorite, Brother Jon’s pub. Keep your eye out for some of chef Dave Jeff Hunt’s popular dishes like Green Curry and Ceviche Tacos. Other intriguing items slated for the opening week include, cilantro pepper corn fritters with sweet chile jam and charcoal grilled northern thai sausage.
In related Spork news, the rolling restaurant is planning another sit down dinner at Sintra next week, April 22 -23. Get tickets here.

it’s Jeff Hunt, not Dave Hunt 🙂
Duh. Thanks, Anna. Dave Hunt is the speaker of the House, not a chef. We’re live without a net over here at the Bent Blog.
I’m sorry to burst anyone’s bubble, but Spork isn’t that great. We were excited to try them out, but when we did, found the food not only in extremely small portions, but tasting just “ok”.
Some where along the line we as customers have allowed restaurants to not only be rude to us but serve 3 bites and a spoon of sauce and call it “dinner”. Nothing personal Spork.
