• Fall Colors along Deschutes River

October along the Deschutes is always stunning. Much so recently when I went there with a German photographer friend. Its always great when you can impress visitors with the scenic beauty here in Central Oregon.

This morning turned out to be one of those wow moments. The clouds sat just right with enough gaps in the East so the first rays of the sun would hit the trees in their autumn best along the river.

Shot upstream from the boat ramp at Dillon Falls all we really had to do was use a wide angle with the camera on tripod. I added a Split Density Neutral Grey Filter to tone down the sky and kept shooting.
