CNN Money has come out with yet another list of the nation’s most overvalued housing markets. And yes, Bend is again smack dab in the middle of it.ย
We’re just wondering how many times “business” reporters can float this lame pitch to their editors and still get a thumbs up.
Is it penance for all the fawning stories about the housing boom that were uncritically published even as the foundation was collapsing under the house of cards.
Either way, thanks for another Top 10 CNN. We’ll see you back here in five years when you’re crowing about the amazing recovery, miles of singletrack, powder that’s measured in feet and world class fishing off our collective backporch.
Just don’t let the screendoor hit you in the ass.

you really need to look at REALITY…..Bend was way over inflated…..and we are still on the way down. We will continue to make the lists………there really was no reason (other than artifical) for the growth of a town with NO JOBS……now that people who were a part of the boom….builders, contractors, construction, banking, realtors are wondering how to get the “heck out of dodge” where will Bend be….on every overpriced, overvalued, unemployment deficit welfare state list.
If I want to get my daily input of negativity all I have to do is look at the Source
I love it!Bend for what IT really is…great place to be…Make sure you send a copy to Bruce Miller aka “Debbie Downer”
Thanks Eric for your closing words to CNN there is hope that The Source can be fair and balanced. We have had our fair share of negative words over Bend and what a”crap hole” it is. It’s time to move forward and leave the gloom and doomers to their pity parties, I won’t mention any names they know who they are !!!!
