The team takes on the Cowlitz Black Bears of Longview, Wash. According to the Elks webpage, it’s going to be a good game.

The Elks currently lead the WestCoast League in Batting Average (.312) but face a Cowitz team with the lowest ERA in the league. Both teams are currently tied for first in the South Division of the WCL one week into the summer season.

Creighton’s Taylor Elman gets the start for the Elks. Taylor picked up the win last week in Walla Walla, striking out 8 in 5 innings of work, while giving up one earned run.

The three game series continues Thursday Night and Friday Night, games times 6.35pm. Bend will then host the Kitsap BlueJackets Saturday night at 6:35pm. The home stand concludes with a Father’s Day Doubleheader starting at 2:05pm on Sunday.

Dad’s are admitted free on Sunday!
