Ok Bend, I know it’s a Tuesday and that the weather is beautiful outside BUT YOU CANNOT MISS THIS SHOW.

Konrad Wert, also known as Possessed by Paul James is a seasoned Austin songwriter, guitarist, banjo and fiddle player, one-man-band and, by day, a schoolteacher. He isn’t resistant to the musical spirit taking him when he performs, and is guaranteed (by me, you can argue with me after the show if you would like by emailing me at bri@bendsource.com) to be one of the best shows of the summer.

“Whatever’s gonna come is gonna come,” he told NPR in an interview earlier this year. “For me, that’s the purest pleasure of playing music: It’s almost a conversation, with a listener and a musician.”

His most recent album, 2013’s There Will Be Nights When I’m Lonely is folk perfection. Crafted from raw emotion with a borderline gospel, in live performances, each song only ignites further.
