I have the perfect solution to Bend’s overpopulation of geese (I call them flying rats) Shoot them, clean them, and donate them to the hungry. Geese taste pretty good and with all the homeless people we have, and people needing food from the food banks, why not? This would help solve two problems, an overabundance of geese and unsanitary goose sh*t, and lack of meat for our needy.

As a child I ate an abundance of wild meat. My mother used to soak the meat in salt water before cooking it. From what I gather, these geese are on the protected list. The solution would be to limit the number hunters could kill per day or to have a day of unlimited kill in the winer when the migratory birds aren’t present until the geese are under control in areas where the geese have become a problem.
