This week’s letter comes from Edward Schmidt who urges President Obama (wow, it still feels good to write that) to stick to his policy guns and avoid pandering to the middle. You cannot expect the political elite in Washington D.C. who created the mess we are in to fix the problems. President Obama’s strategy for the economy likely won’t work. His economic package is too small and focused on too many of the wrong things to provide the long-term benefits needed for the people of our country. Rather than seek bipartisan support from the Republicans and Democrats who created the mess, Obama should be looking to the people who elected him for his support and power. I hope he doesn’t squander this opportunity. We probably won’t get another chance.

So what are you suggesting Obama do? Eliminate Congress and the concept of representative government? Not very likely. Go on TV and appeal to the masses and expect some kind of grass roots support? What do you expect this to accomplish?
Are you suggesting that Obama doesn’t really like the bill he signed, but he did to appeal more to the center and/or right? Last I checked, the right thinks this bill sucks, and the country is so polarized that I don’t think there’s anyone left in the middle.
How many emails, letters and phone calls have the people who voted Obama into office sent to their elected representatives? Like it or not the elected representatives are the ones who will vote yea or nay on the actions the prez wants to take. They respond to public pressure and contributions. If they think they can behave in their self interests without risk, they will–and I believe they are.
The president has held office for a month and has been declared a failure by the right and the left, both of which feel their agenda is the one to be followed and any action not in complete lock-step with their agenda and ideas is in error. Amazing…
The ‘political elite’ was only one-third of the guilty triad. Business leaders rejected oversight, refused to consider long term and strategic planning, and focused on short term profits to pump up the financials and inflate their performance and accompanying bonuses and salaries. Consumers–the public–you and me–spent like drunken sailors, became consumerists, refused to save, used our houses like ATMs, and ignored the Cassandras who always said this day would come if we didn’t change our ways.
The people who voted for Obama have not demonstrated any better judgement or proffered a more prudent plan than anyone else. The instruments changed, but the tune remains the same.
The reports indicate that Nancy Pelosi and her cronies drafted the stimulus package, at the end they tossed a few bones to the republicans, to try and appear bipartisan.
Obama is indebted to these individuals, who have planned their strategies from the day they decided to promote him to run for president. They knew from the day he was elected how this bill would roll.
This package was rushed through without being read by those who voted for it, they weren’t given time to examine and make an intelligent choice (if that is possible).
This is not the time to be showing who is in power, but who is willing to take the time to make some responsible decisions. The Obama supporter may live to regret their vote, just as the Bush supporters did.
Are Obama’s “allies” just socialist lemmings? Are’t they just following their Messiah who actually has narcissistic mentality? Barack Obama is a narcissist.

Jim Jones, the charismatic leader of People’s Temple, the man who led over 900 of his followers to cheerfully commit mass suicide and even murder their own children was also a narcissist.
David Koresh, Charles Manson, Joseph Koni, Shoko Asahara, Stalin, Saddam, Mao,Kim Jong Ill and Adolph Hitler are a few examples of narcissists of our time. All these men had a tremendous influence over their fanciers. They created a personality cult around themselves and with their blazing speeches elevated their admirers, filled their hearts with enthusiasm and instilled in their minds a new zest for life. They gave them hope! They promised them the moon, but alas, invariably they brought them to their doom. When you are a victim of a cult of personality, you don’t know it until it is too late. One determining factor in the development of NPD is childhood abuse.”

No, your “Dan Quayle with a pony tail is the ignorant one.” We hope she runs in 2012. Of course, you can’t speak in negative terms for those indoctrinated to Master Limbaugh and his fellow sit down comedian Hannity.
One month into the term and you folks are slitting his s–! Obama is a whole lot brighter than these dipsticks writing negative comments. Bush destroyed this country and the ignorant follow the doctrine of the leader of the Ditto Heads. I don’ see anybody refering back to the Paulson/Bush fiasco of a bill that covered a total of 2 pages and no liability and had to be passed NOW. I think if your member of congress didn’t vote for the stim, your state should just eat it. Give the money to the folks that wanted it. News for the lover of Dr. Sam Vaknin, whoever the hell he is. To some extent, everyone is narcissistic, including Vaknin and “Winston on Truth.” Look at “Winston’s” screen name: “Winston on Truth.” Talk about narcissism. Winston is trying pass himself off as the missionary of truth. Only someone with a overload of narcissistic self regard would try to pull off a stunt like that. To link Obama to all these tyrants and mass murderers is ludicrous. What kind of a biographer is Dr. Vaknin? Obama is “haughty” and “shallow?” He is “ignorant on most subjects?” Those are value judgments not scientific observations. Obviously Viknin doesn’t like Obama probably because he’s a rabid right winger and also because he no doubt recognizes that Obama is way brighter than he (Viknan) is. And how does Winston on Truth know that Viknan is the foremost authority on narcissism in the world? Because the narcissistic Viknan says he is. Anybody can write a book but that doesn’t mean the book worth reading.

Sam Vaknin is a fraud and it doesn’t take a lot of research to find that out. Only on the internet can someone with no credentials achieve credibility because his ideology answers the needs of someone desperate to defame and deny.
I also notice that the laundry list of narcissists excludes Reagan, Cheney, and Palin. Perhaps to recent? Perhaps to Republican?
I just got some of this Vaknin nonsense sent to me by a rather right relative that didn’t do her research.
The good “doctor” does not list any intermediate degrees on his biography page. Apparently, he went straight to “doctor.” How did he do this? He attended “Pacific Western University.” The university has been investigated by many an Attorney General’s office and was found to be a diploma mill, it closed its doors a few years ago.
The good doctor is such an expert on narcissism, he claims, because he himself suffers from the disorder. This is all documented in a book that he self published and, apparently, that over 100,000 people have been foolish enough to purchase. In the book he chronicles the awareness of his disease that he achieved while in an Israeli prison for fraud. It is unclear if this is true (isn’t it alluring though). However, it is very very clever as it allows him to dismiss any criticism (I am a narcissist so I can’t help it) and allows him to further manipulate the search engines (just try typing in his name and fraud, con, etc. and you will see the first several entries are article by him).
If you look hard enough you will see he tried to create a wikipedia entry on both himself and the disorder from which he supposedly suffers. This was deleted after his dubious credentials were exposed and he perpetually continued to attempt to manipulate wikipedia. To cover up the shame that occurred from his banishment on wikipedia he immediately fired off a volley of anti-wiki articles and published them on every crack pot web page that would publish them. Again, this served to control the first several hits regarding himself and wikipedia. The new story that he has spun is that he was always a wiki-critic and he was banished because of this.
The good doctor Vaknin’s persona and antics are so bizarre I can’t help but wonder if his very existence won’t turn out to be a myth, hoax, or a very clever experiment by someone studying innovative techniques in viral marketing and information manipulation. Time will tell.
