I would like to thank Carrot Queen (any relation?) for her (or his?) generous compliments about Bend’s Hot and Brainy Biking Beefcakes. As one of Bend’s brainiest Beefcakes, though by no means the beefiest, I think we seldom get the recognition – or the attention – we deserve. The Bend “bar scene” it seems hasn’t evolved beyond the time, way back when in those good ol’ mullet days, it was a forum for meeting, greeting and coupling with former high school friends. Bend is a big town “lumbered” with small town nightlife.

Lately I discovered that on the First Friday of the month, the clever, witty, attractive and sassy women pour out of wherever they hide up the rest of the time and Bend looks and sounds interesting for about 8 hours while we circulate, look at art, drink wine and schmooze with the Brainy Babes of Bend.
