So, I’m looking through this Obama speech, trying to find the part that says, “Children, obey your government,” or “Government = Good, Free Enterprise = Bad.” Not finding that, I began searching for subtexts that could undermine private initiative and encourage government dependence. Dead end there. Well, how about subtle attempts to push the youngsters towards the Democrats? That dog won’t hunt. You might say, “Obama’s clever. He doesn’t say it in so many words.” OK, then. Show me anything. Anything at all.
I think the trouble these people have is not with Obama’s words, but, shall we say, something a bit more superficial, something skin deep?
