The 31st annual High Desert Garden Tour will guide you to five locations including the OSU Demonstration Garden and outdoor learning lab. The demonstration garden, which started at the Deschutes County fairgrounds in 2003, includes perennials, trees and shrubs that demonstrate cold hardiness, water wise and fire-resistance. It also features a watersmart controller and a three-bin compost system. The private gardens feature innovative approaches to water conservation, fire-resistant designs, pollinator plants and food gardens that thrive in the local climate. OSU Master Gardeners will be at each location to provide information and answer questions.
The self-guided tours began in 1994, growing in popularity over the years. The locations change each year with this year featuring gardens in Redmond. The goal is to spark creativity, educate and celebrate successful gardeners. Visitors will learn how to extend the growing season, cold-weathering gardening and having plant diversity.

Location information will be provided after purchasing tickets which are $20. And parents, you can drag your kids around the event because children 18 and under are free!
