The May Market in Prineville is fast becoming an annual tradition. Brandi Ebner, from One Decision Management, puts on the event. Now in its third year, Ebner says she intentionally keeps it on the smaller side for a better experience, although it has grown.
“This event is very well attended, and vendors do excellent at it,” she says. “It is somewhat the kickoff to summer events!”
The May Market, in Pioneer Park, will have more than 70 booths featuring artisans, crafts, clothing, jewelry, up-cycled items, home dรฉcor, yard art and more. There will be a variety of food vendors serving up sno-cones, cotton candy, kettle corn, hot dogs, corndogs, baked potatoes, pulled pork sandwiches, nachos and other tasty delights, Ebner says.
Da Chara Duo will perform original songs from 9-10:30am. That’s the husband/wife team of Kimberly Rogers on flute and Steve Thorp on guitar. Their music is a blend of jazz, pop and original style. The Substitutes will perform from 11am-2pm. They cover popular songs and classic rock. Calling themselves Central Oregon’s self-appointed “Rock and Roll Border Patrol, the four-member band has been rockin’ since 1996.
The May Market is free and family friendly.
