Crow’s Feet Commons/The Commons 869 NW Wall St., Bend Located in the heart of downtown Bend, this space is a perfect destination for those cool summer nights. Just up from Mirror Pond, The Commons provides a sanctuary amongst the hustle and bustle. With a mix of bigger shows outside and cozy open mics inside, the energy at these shows is something special to behold as the community gathers together for a night of pure enjoyment – and the bands that perform fit right in with that vibe. Les Schwab Amphitheater 344 SW Shevlin Hixon Dr., Bend If you’re visiting Central Oregon in the summer, there’s a good chance the Les Schwab Amphitheater—a huge outdoor venue—will be putting on a show while you’re here. Located in the heart of the Old Mill District and on the Deschutes River, with mountain views, it truly is a summer paradise. McMenamins Old St. Francis School 700 NW Bond St., Bend Not only does McMenamins Old St. Francis School host movies throughout the year in its theatre room, but if you look down the hall from there you’ll find Father Luke’s Room, a great spot for a variety of shows. It’s a great chance to see some local acts but it also brings in a lot of unique artists from around the country. Midtown Ballroom/Domino Room/The Annex 51 NW Greenwood Ave., Bend The Midtown Ballroom and Domino Room is a hub for sweet shows, and is the largest indoor venue in Bend. The Ballroom is the largest space, and the Domino Room is located next door, with a 21+ bar that overlooks the stage & floor. The Annex is reserved for small shows or private events. Oregon Spirit Distillers 740 NE 1st St., Bend Oregon Spirit Distillers provides a great patio to catch some singer/songwriters and bigger shows outside and inside, near downtown Bend. Spoken Moto 310 SW Industrial Way, Bend This is not your typical coffee shop. A mechanic’s shop turned into a food truck, music and motorcycle haven – Moto is always having great artists on the ticket. You’ll hear some folk artists who will blow you away, some garage rockers to keep things lively and maybe even a little jazz to smooth things out from time to time. Sunriver Resort 17600 Center Dr., Sunriver The Summer Concert Series at Sunriver Resort is an awesome chance to get away and enjoy some great views and live outdoor music at the same time. The Suttle Lodge & Boathouse 13300 U.S. Hwy. 20, Sisters There isn’t an atmosphere you can find that quite matches that of The Suttle Lodge. Located outside of Sisters in the Deschutes National Forest sits the lodge. Head through the giant doors to the lobby where you can enjoy an intimate show as you look out the windows to see Suttle Lake—or enjoy a summer show lakeside. Tower Theatre 835 NW Wall St., Bend The Tower Theatre offers everything from special movie nights, sought-after speakers, classical music, comedy, plays and high-energy concerts. This year alone they’ve had two notable acts from America’s Got Talent: Recycled Percussion and Puddles the clown. You can enjoy just about any type of show in their comfortable theater seating. Volcanic Theatre Pub 70 SW Century Dr., Bend If you’re looking for the most casual yet simultaneously the most edgy venue in Bend, then you’ve gotta check out the Volcanic. You get a good mix from a lot of alternative and up-and-coming acts, varying from rock, folk to reggae and more. Relax and find a spot on one of the couches or stand up and show off your sweet moves.
