Pho at Home: Recipe from a reader

Judging by the amount of comments we received on our blog on Bend’s newest pho restaurant, Pho Viet, it seems that I am not the only pho-obsessed person in Central Oregon. As it turns out, one of our readers, Larry Sullivan, happens to be something of a pho expert and has blogged a bit on the subject. You can check out his blog on pho here.

The Big Lebowski Costume Winners

At a screening of “The Big Lebowski” in Bend, Oregon, these folks won the costume contest.

If you weren’t there at the Tower tonight to watch The Big Lebowski with 400-something other people who may have become your new best friends, you also missed an incredible costume contest, which kicked off the weirdly, awesomely, justifiably well-attended (and sold-out) event.

Oregon vs. Auburn: The curfew battle

There are plenty of differences between Auburn and Oregon — for starters, one of the schools is located in Alabama and the other in the Pacific Northwest, and secondly, only one team has LaMichael James.
There are other differences too, like, for example, the one illustrated by a USA Today post yesterday that described the differences in the approach the two teams take in terms of player curfews.
