With ski racing parents from Vermont and Oregon it was no wonder skiing became easier than walking for Tommy. Mt Bachelor was the playground where he grew. Soon after finishing public high school Tommy simultaneously joined the US Ski Team and Dartmouth College. After a couple of years of competing in DH, SG, GS and SL on the World Cup and at the 2010 Olympics, Tommy broke his femur. During his recovery Tommy spent his time at Dartmouth studying Studio Art. Through forced absence from sport he discovered what art could do to tame his restless energy. Over the next several years he was able to build into a World Cup win, two podiums, two more Olympics, more injuries and recoveries, and a World Champs Gold. This being his 19th season on the US Ski team, Tommy is amidst a return from injury.
