For the past couple of months, whenever I’ve checked the Random Presents website, I’ve been bummed to see that indie rock heroes Built to Spill were playing in Ashland in November, but not in Bend. But guess what happened when I checked the site today?
Yup, I saw that Built to Spill is, indeed, playing in Bend on November 11 at the Domino Room. Tickets are already on sale.
Last fall, the Boise-based band – arguably one of the most influential bands in their genre – released There is No Enemy, one of their most sonically advanced records. I profiled the band and front man Doug Martsch for Jambase.com when the album was released and wrote about his burgeoning DJ career and got his thoughts on the new album.
The band has been touring heavily for the past year and it’s great to see Built to Spill finally give a visit to their neighbors to the west (that’s us). Here’s some footage of the band playing last month in New Jersey.

So excited that Built to Spill is coming to Bend!!! I don’t even have to travel to PDX to see one of my favorite and most influential indie bands of all time! However, there is some discrepancy in dates of this great band’s arrival. Some say the 10th and some say the 11th. For further clarification, I do believe they will be at the Domino Room on Wednesday, November 10th, at least that is what randompresents.com and bendticket.com says.
Any input???
