I would normally be very interested in volunteer opportunities supporting USFS programs, especially those in education, public outreach, and environmental stewardship/conservation. I went to the “work with us” webpage of the Deschutes National Forest and was greeted with a banner proclaiming “The Radical Left Democrats shut down the government. This government website will be updated periodically during the funding lapse for mission critical functions. President Trump has made it clear he wants to keep the government open and support those who feed, fuel, and clothe the American people.” In fact it is the plutocratic, do-nothing elitist republic party that has shut down the government with dim don’s obsession to undo every federal program from the Obama and Biden administrations out of purile spite. That the USFS parrots dim don’s delusional whines is a slap in the face to the history of USFS and truly great national leaders like Theodore Roosevelt who understood that environmental programs are not only necessary but essential. dim don will undo all such programs to service his avarice and total disregard of the interests of the Republic.
