Community Solutions of Central Oregon is pleased to announce the appointment of Kyra Coke Duffy as its new Executive Director. This leadership transition marks an important milestone in the organization’s continued commitment to providing accessible, high-quality mediation and conflict resolution services throughout Central Oregon. Kyra follows Katharine (Kat) Dalton, who led the organization with dedication for the past several years and helped guide Community Solutions into its next chapter.

Community Solutions of Central Oregon serves Deschutes, Jefferson and Crook counties, and has evolved over many years through the dedication of volunteers, mediators, board members, and community partners. These chapters laid the groundwork for a unified, mission-driven organization focused on helping people build understanding, strengthen relationships, and resolve conflict peacefully.

As Executive Director, Kyra Coke Duffy brings deep experience in relationship-building, program development, and community engagement. Her background in conflict resolution and nonprofit leadership aligns with Community Solutions’ mission to expand access to mediation, support training for new mediators, and bring people together through dialogue.

“I’m thrilled to join an organization with such a strong history of service and a mission that truly matters,” said Duffy. “Community Solutions has long been a source of support and connection in Central Oregon. I look forward to working alongside the board, volunteers, and community partners to strengthen and expand this important work.”

To welcome Kyra Coke Duffy and celebrate this new chapter, Community Solutions will host an in-person community gathering:

Event Details: Date: December 11, 2025 Time: 5:00–7:00 PM Location: 1010 NW 14th St, Bend, OR 97703. Light refreshments will be provided.

Community members, partners, and supporters are invited to attend, connect, and learn more about how they can support the organization’s ongoing work. Opportunities to give include scholarships for Basic and Advanced Mediation Training, a fund for no-cost mediations for individuals in need, and support for essential tools such as portable whiteboards and an electronic smart board for the mediation room.

“We believe in building relationships that bring people together,” said Duffy. “This event is a chance to celebrate that spirit of connection and to continue the legacy of community-supported mediation in Central Oregon.”
