Mt. Bachelor Gears Up for Central Oregon’s Biggest Downhill Bike Event

Mt. Bachelor will host the fifth annual Red Line Rally, Central Oregon’s premier downhill bike event, on Saturday, August 30, 2025. Named after the resort’s iconic jump trail, Red Line, this invite-only competitionshowcases a unique blend of riders from up-and-coming local youth to seasoned professionals.

Spectators are encouraged to gather at the trail’s largest feature, the Moon Booter, where riders will throw down massive tricks in front of friends, fans, and a panel of judges. Prizes will be awarded for best whip, style, and overall trick. One woman and one youth will also earn the title of GRL Boss and Grom Champ.

“I’ve been part of Red Line Rally since it started in 2020,” said Events Manager, Ryan Petrocco. “It’s amazing to see the bike community come together, share the stoke and hype each other up.”

This year’s local and regional competitors will get to share the trail with Mt. Bachelor athletes Carson Storch and Sage Cattabriga-Alosa. Storch, a Bend-grown professional freerider, has appeared on the cover of Bike Magazine and landed podiums at world-class events like Red Bull Rampage and Proving Grounds. Cattabriga-Alosa is best known for dominating the big mountain freeskiing scene but is equally impressive on two wheels.

“I want to thank Bachelor for inviting me to Red Line Rally,” said local youth, Hunter Michelsen. “It’s a really fun event, I’m really stoked to be in it.”
