Thirty teams and 120 golfers will fill Bend Golf Club on Friday, October 9, for Deschutes Children’s Foundation’s sold-out Chip in FORE! Kids tournament, with another team waiting for an opening.
The only charity golf tournament held at Bend Golf Club, Chip in FORE! Kids raises funds to provide the space and support Central Oregon nonprofits need to serve children and families. By sharing the costs of facilities and campus services, DCF helps its nonprofit partners direct more resources toward the people who count on them.
“This is a critical time for children and families in Central Oregon, and for the nonprofits they rely on,” said Cassi MacQueen, Executive Director of Deschutes Children’s Foundation. “Our supporters understand that. They’re filling teams, sponsoring holes, volunteering and giving generously because they want these services to remain strong. Every golfer and every sponsor is part of that effort.”
The tournament begins with an 11:30 a.m. shotgun start and features activities throughout the course, including Beat the Pro, Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin and Tee UP!
The event is made possible by presenting sponsor The Desert Pine Group at Morgan Stanley, golf cart sponsor Washington Trust Bank, and awards ceremony sponsor Kirby Nagelhout Construction Company, alongside the many corporate foursome sponsors, hole sponsors and volunteers contributing to the day.
Bend Pizza Kitchen and El Sancho are providing meals, with refreshments supported by Bigfoot Beverages, Oregon Spirit Distillers and Deschutes Brewery. Media sponsors Central Oregon Daily News and Horizon Broadcasting are helping share the event and DCF’s mission with the broader community.
Together, these supporters are investing in more than a day on the course. They’re helping sustain the places where children and families find care, connection and support.
