Grace and Hammer is entering its fourth full month under new ownership. The new owners of the real estate and the business are a group of long-term Central Oregonian friends who did not want the historic building (built in 1912) to change or the pizza place to go away. So, it was purchased in early 2026 to grow the legacy of this localsโ€™ favorite dining experience. The core menu has stayed the same and many major elements of the historic structure have been repaired and tended to. And there are some very cool new features, such as live music offerings on the friendly and relaxed 1,000 square foot deck.

  • The Grace and Hammer core team is the same as itโ€™s been for years. The longest-term employees, Nikki, Russell, and Payton, who collectively have nearly 20 years of experience at Grace and Hammer, have each moved into greater leadership positions. The previous ownership/management duo has moved on to other pursuits, but along with the three named above, all the other existing employees remain. And a couple of new employees have joined the team.
  • We will begin offering live music on our spacious deck! Stay tuned for details of our exceptional lineup of talented local artists, who will perform on Sundays beginning in early July. Plus, keep an eye out for open-mic events!
  • We are adding more gluten-free items to the menu, including entrees and appetizers that will be intentionally cooked in an oven separate from our wood-fire oven.
  • The steeple roof has been replaced and the deck and pergola completely freshened up. The historic nature and spirit of the place are fully intact and are being improved.
  • In addition to the regular menu that features โ€œThe Best Pizza in Central Oregon,โ€ our monthly special pizza offering is back. Check out the return of โ€œThe Cubanaโ€ next week!

โ€œWe are so glad Grace and Hammer is a part of the community and is doing well. The staff, some who have worked here since Grace and Hammer opened in 2019, are so dedicated to the happiness of our guests and the integrity of the offerings. Every item on the menu but one is made from scratch and our craft cocktails and beer selection is as good as it gets,โ€ said new co-owner Ken Streater. โ€œReturning clients and new guests are grateful the Grace and Hammer legacy continues!โ€
