As of this week, Bendites have a new place to indulge a sweet tooth after dinner. A European-inspired pie shop, Pie Maison, opens August 29 on Bond Street in downtown Bend, serving a host of pie flavors from 1 to 9pm Tuesdays through Saturdays.

The opening menu includes Marionberry Streusel, Gluten-Free Marionberry Streusel, S’mores, Cookies & Cream and Lemon Meringue pies, with other seasonal flavors available soon.

Pie Maison is holding a grand opening celebration Sat., August 29 from 1 to 9pm. The shop is the creation of Amy Bertram and wife Brittany, who envisioned a homey-yet-grand vibe for the shop.

“The idea is to take something nostalgic and familiar and make it feel a bit more elevated, refined and special,” Bertram told the Source.

Pies are available as slices and whole pies, and custom orders will be available. Orders are mostly to-go, but a small seating area is available for those who want to enjoy their pie in the shop.
