Snow has been coming down hard all morning and is expected to continue through the night and into the weekend. As of this morning, the resortโ€™s base area is sitting under 2 feet of snow. With nearly a foot of snow accumulation over the last 24 hours and 20 inches in the last seven days, teams at Mt. Bachelor are working hard to prepare the resort for the scheduled November 29th Opening Day, and potentially earlier if conditions allow.

โ€œThe forecast is looking promising over the next couple weeks, which is very exciting,โ€ said John Merriman, President & General Manager. โ€œWe are making snow when temperatures allow and our teams are working hard to get lifts ready, as we have a short window between summer and winter operations. As soon as conditions allow, and we are confident we can stay open, we will kick off our season, which continues to be one of the longest in the country.”

Mt. Bachelor is encouraging skiers and snowboarders to get their gear and passes dialed so they are ready to hit the slopes as soon as the resort is able to open. The Mt. Bachelor Sports Pro Shop has one of the most extensive selections of hard and soft goods in the Pacific Northwest and is open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Season passholders can take advantage of a 10% discount on any purchase, and non-passholders receive 10% off purchases over $300. Mt. Bachelor also offers a tune shop where guests can drop off their skis and snowboards to be waxed, serviced, or repaired.
