At a time filled with anxiety, frustration and fear for many, there’s a sense of urgency in uniting in community. The Source invites you to share your thoughts and feelings through poetry.

Rules:  

Submissions are limited to 250 words or less.

A maximum of three entries per person.

Deadline: March 20, 2026

Awards:

The winning poems will be printed in the Source on April 9, 2026.

Our partners at the Deschutes Public Library are providing prizes.

  • $100 Gift Card 1st place
  • $75 2nd
  • $50 3rd
  • $25 for Youth Winners (1st & 2nd place) 

Poems will be judged by a panel from OSU-Cascades.

Provide your age if you are entering the youth category.

Winners will be notified by email.
