Dogwood, a much-loved Bend hotspot known for its whimsical charm and craft cocktails, is embarking on an exciting new journey. Owners Doug and Phoebe Pedersen are relocating the venue to the historic Pine Shed at Second and Hawthorne Avenue, where a vibrant courtyard will feature six to seven carefully curated food trucks.

Now known as Dogwood at the Pine Shed, the reimagined space invites guests to enjoy cozy, rustic vibes inside the Pine Shed warehouse while savoring a variety of culinary delights from the outdoor food truck lineup. With something for every palate, the food trucks offer an elevated dining experience outside that complements the seasonal cocktails inside.

The six confirmed food trucks bring a dynamic and flavorful mix of cuisines:

Dinky Dau: Asian-inspired dishes like savory banh mi sandwiches, aromatic rice bowls and snackable bites.

The Dominican: A brand-new venture by owners Robert and Trisha De Los Santos that features authentic Dominican dishes like empanadas, crispy chicharrรณn and the classic “la bandera” (white rice, red beans and stewed meat).

Kook’i: A mobile bakery offering freshly baked treats, from cookies and sweet rolls to sundaes and more.

Red Beard Barbecue: A local favorite known for its tender brisket, smoky tri-tip and hearty sides like mac salad and coleslaw.

Sopa: Authentic Mexican cuisine including tacos, burritos and bowls made with organic, handmade tortillas.

‘Wich Doctor Sandwich Co.: Unique sandwiches crafted with house-baked bread, smoked meats and peak-season vegetables.

The food trucks were handpicked by the Pine Shed’s landlord, who sought out a diverse mix of elevated flavors by personally visiting and sampling each truck.

“I couldn’t be more excited about having food trucks as a part of Dogwood,” says Doug Pedersen. “We can focus more what we’re best at โ€” craft cocktails and events โ€” while the food trucks shine in their specialties.”

The Dogwood team has big plans to make the new space a hub for community connection, with events like weekend DJ sets, farmers markets and night markets in the works.

Dogwood at the Pine Shed and its food trucks are aiming to open on New Year’s Eve, with hours from 11am to 10pm on weekdays and until midnight on the weekends. Whether you’re craving a craft cocktail or a culinary adventure, Dogwood at the Pine Shed promises to be a destination for community, creativity and unforgettable flavors.
