After a few months trying to find a way to make the event happen, the folks at the 4 Peaks Music Festival announced today that there will be no third installment of the festival.

Organizers announced this spring that a full-scale outdoor camping festival was off, but hopes were alive for an in-town event in July — but those plans, too, are now scrapped. 4 Peaks began in 2007 and almost doubled in size in 2008, but in light of the current economy and the fact that the festival was without a location, organizers were left with no option but to abandon 4 Peaks for the year.

But 4 Peakers, don’t fret, organizers say they will return in 2010 with another full-scale outdoor event. Also, they are touting a 4 Peaks Presents show in October.
