As you may have heard, Conan O’Brien, the host of The Tonight Show released a somewhat funny, but mostly serious statement today announcing that he will not accept NBC’s offer to move to 12:05pm to accommodate the terribly nice butย  less-than-hilarious Jay Leno and his self-titled show.

In the wake of the announcement it seemed every Conan fan descended on the Internet, jamming up Twitter feeds and Facebook pages with remarks in support of the lanky redhead. And within a few hours, Los Angeles-based artist Mike Mitchell had created the image to the right — an Obamian sort of portrait affixed with a peculiar nickname for the comic.

You can download the image here and share it freely.

As for the future of Conan and Leno? Well, it seems even NBC brass don’t have an answer to that.

  1. Leno gives up The Tonight Show, then moves to an earlier format. Conan replaces Leno – boring. Hey, it now seems appropriate for the network to just eliminate both shows as they offer no redeeming value. When they come on, I know it’s time to go to bed.

  2. Leno hasn’t been funny in 15 years and Conan is the future. Jay is crying about his decision and now wants to go back on it. Typical “I am so important, pay attention to me” behavior.
The Tonight show is an institution that was there LONG before moonface tainted it with his unfunny jokes about fake newspaper headlines.
