When the Source office talks summer music, things tend to get pretty heated. We are so serious, in fact, that we’ve put together this Final Four-style bracket for the biggest names playing in town this summer.

No, we don’t want to know who you think will draw the biggest audiences, put on the best gigs or go the longest past the 10 pm curfew. We want to know which artist you think would win in a physical, unarmed fight

Our first matchup is Mike Vallely of Black Flag vs. Jack Johnson…sounds unfair, we know but we randomly drew the pairs. Sorry, Jack.

              vs.

We’re calling this the battle of the boards! Tell us who you think would take the crown. Vallely is an unequivocal badass skateboarding legend and Johnson is a Hawaii-born North Shore surfer.

We will randomly give out a FREE pair of tickets to see Leftover Salmon at the Subaru of Bend Outside Games this Thursday for one of the commenters.

The artist that gets the most votes moves onto the next round. See the full bracket below.

Other match ups include: Ringo Starr vs. Dave Matthews, Michael Franti vs. (either member of) Steely Dan and Amos Lee vs. Matt Berninger of The National. Comment away and let the battle begin!
