Throughout much of the day yesterday the sky was spitting out snow, much of it mixed with rain, but up on Mt. Bachelor it was dumping. Even though we had one of the warmest Octobers in recent memory, we’ve seemed to have jumped straight from Indian summer to winter, completely skipping over fall. There’s a good couple feet of snow up on the mountain and keeping with a well-known early season right of passage, Alex Kaufman and company climbed the cinder cone for some post-Election-Day turns.
Thanks for the video, Alex!

Hopefully the levels will drop enough Saturday for pure snow instead of a mix — get that base ready — even though CPC is calling for an average (normal precip and normal temps) winter — I’m certainly hoping for a good dumping of snow early!
