Empty Space Orchestra, the Bend-based, prog-rock brain-melting instrumentalists, are setting up camp in the Silver Moon this month for four shows featuring a different opening act each week.

The series begins on Friday and features openers The Dela Project (who are filling in for Grant Sabin). On Thursday, Jan. 13, the band plays with Portland hip-hop cross over act Hurtbird. On Friday, Jan. 21, the one-man dance party Boy Eats Drum Machine is the featured guest. On Friday, Jan. 18, it’s X-Ray Press getting things started.

Tickets are available at Bendticket.com — and if you plan on hitting up all the shows, you can get a four-show pass for a mere $15.

Empty Space Orchestra has been hard at work on its forthcoming full-length album, which is set to drop this spring. Here’s a sampling of two tracks from that disc.
