On Friday evening, I paraded around downtown Bend with a group of folks in search of haunted buildings. It wasn’t one of those night-vision investigations, but rather the Des Chutes Historical Society’s tour of haunted buildings.

It was hardly terrifying (even for the easily terrified like myself) but there were some interesting moments — like when we were told that a couple staying at McMenamins Old St. Francis School awoke to find that their cellphone had taken a picture of them sleeping. Creepy.

But the most intriguing story of a haunting came from our tour guide, who relayed a story about seeing a pair of ghosts inside the Tower Theatre. I’d never heard any rumors about hauntings at the Tower, so this was intriguing…here’s some video of his story.
