Looking out the window, it might be difficult to believe that WinterFest is still two months away, but I just learned that the festival already has the music headliner (or at least one of them) lined up.
Lyrics Born, the Bay-area jazzy/funky/world beat hip hopper is set to play the festival’s headlining slot on Saturday, February 19. The vocalist, who combines big dance music sounds with some old-school hip-hop sounds, seems like a nice fit for the big WinterFest crowds to get down to at the outdoor festival.
WinterFest buttons are on sale today for $6 at The Old Mill District, Saving Grace, Newport Avenue Market, Bella Moda, Honey Threads, Helly Hansen and for $5 at OnPoint Community Credit Union.
Here’s some footage of Lyrics Born in 2008.
