Last week, the owner Bend Fish Co., Mike West, died at age 51 from a heart attack. West was also a restaurateur in the Eugene area. Bend Fish Co. has since closed its doors and the building is up for sale.

West’s memorial service was this past weekend and we hear it was standing room only, with friends flying and driving in from around the country. Natalie Hathaway, a former employee and family friend, described West as “somebody that you wanted to know – he always made everyone feel welcome. Anyone who knew him described him as a generous, loving man who changed their life.”

Our condolences go out to his friends and family.
