I just got word that Poor Manโ€™s Whiskey, the Bay Area band thatโ€™s secured Bend as its home away from home over the past three years, is coming back to the Domino Room on March 13.

The last time the PMW came through town was in October when the band played its โ€œDark Side of the Moonshineโ€ โ€“ an Americana version of the Pink Floyd classic โ€“ and sold out the Domino Room, packing it full of lasers and stage lights, and of course a few hundred dancing Bendites.

This show wonโ€™t be another Dark Side performance, but it doesnโ€™t seem that folks will care โ€“ the bandโ€™s own classic-rock-meets-bluegrass numbers are enough to carry a show (or a festival like 4 Peaks) in Bend.

On another note, PMW has recently been booked for the Byron Bay Bluesfest, a five-day get-down in Australia featuring bands like the John Butler Trio, Jack Johnson, ALO, Jeff Beck and many more. PMW is playing all five nights, including some Dark Side performances.

Hereโ€™s some footage of the bandโ€™s last performance here in Bend:
