Two things to know about Eek-a-Mouse. He’s the reggae legend playing in Bend on Wednesday night at the Domino Room and he is super buff.

There’s plenty of other things to know about the 51-year-old native Jamaican and his 15-plus albums, but check out this photo of him in a mesh stretch-fit shirt. Holy body by Jake!

OK, enough with the slightly creepy ramblings about Eek-a-Mouse’s physique.

The last few times he’s rolled through town, the shows have been packed with our region’s many rast-o-philes came out in large smoky numbers for a show that won’t disappoint. This performance should be welcome return of reggae to the Central Oregon stage, where it seems to have been in hiding for a while after a stretch in 2007-2008 when you could find two, three, hell even four reggae shows on a single night.

OK, so remember 110 words ago when I said Eek-a-Mouse is a certifiable legend? Well check out this super old-school video of the quick-mouthed star performing in 1981.
